Wyoming County Business Education Council

The Wyoming County Business Education Council is a county-wide agency with over 250 members, financial supporters, and volunteers, dedicated to promoting policies and practice that help youth, all youth, succeed in becoming productive workers, lifelong learners, and better prepared for whatever career choices they make. The BEC strives to achieve this mission by setting and promoting quality programs in the school districts, promoting professional development for school staff, and partnering with other youth oriented agencies that will also help youth receive a well rounded social and academic education.


 

Wyoming County Board of Supervisors - Government

Wyoming County Board of Supervisors made up of the 16 Town Supervisors from each of Wyoming County's Towns. Links to the Board of Supervisors, Minutes, Agendas and county government agencies. 


 

Wyoming County Farm Bureau

Wyoming County Farm Bureau gives farmers and non-farmers alike the opportunity to be part of an organization dedicated to supporting and enriching agriculture. It provides an opportunity for individuals interested in the food system, land issues and rural living to join together and make their voices heard. 


 

Wyoming County Planning and Development Office

Offering professional planning assistance to municipalities and individuals, helping to ensure that the county’s future growth respects community character and is consistent with publicly supported goals. Effective and responsive planning results in communities that better provide for the many needs of residents.


 

Wyoming County Real Property Tax Services

Offering county and local information on tax assessments and data, tax rolls, web mapping, tax assessor roster, important filing deadlines and forms.


 

Wyoming County Clerk

The County Clerk may also serve as Clerk to the Supreme Court and County Court. As Registrar, the Clerk is responsible for the filing, recording and maintenance of all documents and maps relating to real property in Wyoming County. As Clerk to the Courts, the County Clerk is responsible for filing and maintaining records of all court proceedings and documents of both civil and criminal nature. As an Agent to the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, the County Clerk is responsible for the everyday operations of the Motor Vehicle Bureau. Certain business filing such as DBA's and Notaries can be found at the Clerk's office.


 

Wyoming County Treasurer

The County Treasurer has custody of all money belonging to the county or in which the County has an interest, and also serves as Treasurer for the County Social Services Department, and as trustee for court and trust funds. The County Treasurer also has various statutory duties which include: delinquent tax collection, granting certificates of residence, distributing unpaid school and village tax monies, accounting for all county funds and records, reporting department balances, and many other activities required by the government. 


 

Wyoming County Cornell Cooperative Extension

Cornell Cooperative Extension in Wyoming County is a non-profit organization that aims to educate and equip Wyoming County residents with the skills and resources necessary to succeed in Agriculture and it's related industries.


 

Wyoming County Soil & Water Conservation District

Wyoming County Soil and Water Conservation District focuses on natural resource problems and solutions. WCSWCD provides technical assistance as well as education on soil, water, and related natural resources. Municipalities, farmers, and landowners use this information in making proper land use decisions. In addition, WCSWCD assists other environmental organizations in the expansion of public service.


 

Arts Council for Wyoming County

Founded in 1976, The Arts Council for Wyoming County provides arts and culture programs to our rural communities in the region. Headquartered in a restored historic building in downtown Perry, New York, the ACWC hosts art exhibits, classes, workshops, performances, concerts, and film screenings throughout the year. Working in conjunction with the New York State Council on the Arts, the ACWC acts as a conduit to distribute (DEC) Community Arts Grants to groups and organizations throughout Wyoming County. Community Arts Grantees in turn provide arts and culture opportunities for their neighbors including concerts, performing arts, visual arts, and other arts opportunities.
