Business-focused, Two-hour Seminar on Managing Cash Flow and Seasonality to be offered on Friday Morning, October 30th.

Oct 14, 2015

In response to suggestions and feedback from area business people, the Perry Main Street Association has teamed up with the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce to organize and offer a new seminar that aims to give participants tools to examine cash flow, the impact of seasonality

“Seasonality doesn’t necessarily align with calendar ‘seasons’—and cash flow needs don’t always align with a “busy” season neatly. We’re very pleased that Robert Close, a SCORE volunteer instructor with 40 plus years serving as both a CFO and Controller of multiple companies and an MBA in Business Administration, has partnered with us to develop a condensed seminar on these topics. The goal is for participants to walk away with information they can put to use, no matter what type of business they are in,” said Brian Bieger, seminar organizer and PMSA Board of Directors Member.

The seminar will be held on Friday, October 30th, 2015 from 9-11am, at the offices of the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce, 6740 Route 20A, in Perry. It is open to the public, and the cost to current members of the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce and the Perry Main Street Association, Inc. is $10 per person. The cost to non-members is $20 per person.

“We are pleased to be able to partner with the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce to make this seminar happen, and we’re looking forward to a great event,” said Jacquie Billings Barlow, Perry Main Street Association Chairperson.

“We are very pleased to be working with Perry Main Street Association and SCORE to bring this programming to the business community,” said Scott Gardner, President of the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce. “Seasonal cash flow and planning is an important issue for any business and we encourage business owners to take advantage of this learning opportunity.”

About the Seminar

Participants can expect an introduction to the concepts involved, with the opportunity for conversation at a local level, and the opportunity to ask questions throughout the session. Participants may choose to share observations and challenges—but it is not necessary to do so.

All participants will receive copies of materials used during the seminar, as well as working Excel files that they can begin using after the event.

Seating is limited. Registration in advance is recommended. To register, contact either the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce or the PMSA. Registrations with payments via credit card may be made online at www.wycochamber.org.
