WYOMING COUNTY CHAMBER & TOURISM OFFICIALLY WELCOMES OLIVE & INK, LLC TO PERRY WITH A RIBBON CUTTING

Jun 5, 2015

The Wyoming County Chamber and Tourism office was pleased to celebrate a ribbon cutting on June 5, 2015, with Rachel Richter at her new business Olive & Ink, LLC, located at 21 South Main Street in Perry, NY.

“We are very pleased to welcome Olive & Ink and Rachel Richter as a new Wyoming County business located in downtown Perry,” said Scott Gardner, Wyoming County Chamber President. “Rachel is a dynamic person who is filled with great ideas for her customers. She is producing fresh high quality design work right here in Wyoming County and we are thankful to have her located on Perry’s Main Street.”

“Olive & Ink is a one-stop shop for design, print and promotional products; and we treat every customer with respect and patience. We value the relationships with our customers, so it’s easy to see how they become our friends and family,” said business owner Rachel Richter. “Also, at Olive & Ink the customer speaks directly with the graphic artist so they get exactly what they want. It’s not about needing something, its about enjoying something unexpectedly better. I’d like to thank everyone for their support of Olive & Ink and look forward to a long and bright future in Perry.”

Rachel Richter graduated from Spencerian College in Lexington, KY with a degree in Computer Graphic Design.  After graduating, she worked at the Warsaw Penny Saver for four years as a graphic designer for advertisements and printed materials.  As she became familiar with people in the advertising networks, she learned how to work with customers to meet their advertising and print needs, in addition to operating a large printer and plate maker.  Rachel later worked at Dray Enterprise, Inc, as a graphic designer for print, promotional products, apparel, web, wide format and advertising.  She was responsible for larger volume print jobs, graphics for promotional products, screen printing graphics, created and maintained a variety of websites, large poster and banner layouts, and advertisements for the LeRoy Pennysaver.

After seven years in the advertising and print industry Rachel felt the natural call to continue growing and challenging herself and becoming a small business owner fit that plan perfectly.  She loves working with people and creating designs that people can use for just about anything, and opening her own downtown business allows her to do that.

Olive & Ink, LLC offers graphic design, print in-house and works with a network of local and regional vendors who provide services the business is not equipped to produce in-house. Products and services include: wedding & party invitations, flyers, posters, tickets, postcards, brochures; promotional products including mugs, glasses, koozies, pens, stamps, and stickers. Other areas include apparel design; web services and design for print and online ads; wide format work including banners, large posters, and signs.

Rachel’s current goals are to provide the community with excellent customer service, wonderful design and a quality product.  Customers will find that Olive & Ink is not a cookie cutter store, as it will create custom designs to fit each person who walks through the door.
