(WARSAW, NY) The Wyoming County Chamber & Tourism office, Community Action for Wyoming County, Genesee Community College, the NYS Department of Labor, Senator Patrick Gallivan, and the Wyoming County YMCA, have again partnered to coordinate the seventh annual Wyoming County Job Fair on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 10:00AM – 2:00PM. The Job Fair will take place at the Wyoming County YMCA & Genesee Community College Warsaw Campus located at 115 Linwood Avenue, Warsaw, NY.
“Matching job seekers with employers is critically important, as we look for ways to serve the business community and offer solutions. Workforce development is one of our top priorities, and this is an important event to make connections. Local businesses are encouraged to contact the Wyoming County Chamber to learn more about how to reserve a spot for this great recruitment opportunity,” said Scott Gardner, Chamber President. “Whether you’re a seasonal employer, a local manufacturer, small business, or a dairy operation, now is the time to sign up to promote your business and attract job seekers.”
“It’s always recommended that job seekers treat the event as if they are going to an interview,” said Beth Caton, Senior Coordinator of the Employment and Training Division at Community Action. “We encourage everyone to bring their resume, be enthusiastic, ask questions, take notes, dress appropriately and thank the business representative for their time.”
The Job Fair is free and open to all those seeking employment opportunities. Interviews may take place on site. There will be assistance with resume writing and interview skills available to ensure job seekers are fully prepared to land that perfect job. There will be a wide variety of jobs available at all skill levels from very basic to technical. Interested job seekers do not need to register in advance.
